300 kW Three-Phase Traction Inverter
TIDM-02014
TIDM-02014 is an 800-V, 300 kW SiC-based traction inverter system reference design developed by Texas Instruments and Wolfspeed which provides a foundation for design engineers to create high performance, high-efficiency traction inverter systems and get to market faster. The design features automotive qualified SiC XM3 modules, high-performance isolated gate drivers with real-time variable gate drive strength, isolated bias supply with integrated transformer, along with TI’s real-time performance MCUs that enable traction motor control even at speeds greater than 20,000 RPM while supporting functional safety requirements.

This design features:
- Automotive traction focused controls and features
- Optimized design for Wolfspeed’s all-SiC, low inductance, XM3 Power Modules
- Complete stackup, including: modules, cooling, bussing, gate drivers, voltage / current sensors, resolver interface, and controller
- High-frequency, ultra-fast switching operation with ultra-low loss, low parasitic bussing
