    Wolfspeed silicon carbide: more with less for server & telecom power supplies

    When datacenters are fitted with power supplies built with Wolfspeed’s silicon carbide (SiC) power products, they can deliver more computing power per square foot–with a lower electric bill. 4.4% of all electrical energy in the U.S. is consumed by data centers, and that number is growing worldwide. Power supplies designed around Wolfspeed’s silicon carbide products improve thermal performance sufficiently to create up to 40% savings in energy costs on cooling alone. Silicon carbide also enables designers to meet the requirements for the 80+Titanium standard, and Wolfspeed’s products are ready to meet even tougher future standards.

    Wolfspeed WolfPACK™ power modules enabled Sinexcel Electric Company, a global power supply manufacturer, to achieve 50% size and 40% weight reductions in two of their products – significantly improving cabinet capacities for the data centers they power.
